Welcome to Week 1
Kia Ora
This week Room 21 have been focusing on creating and building positive relationships. We have been doing this through Circle Time, Investigation Activities and Games. These activities have given the children the opportunity to get to know the children through play, as a stepping stone for them to find out more about each other. Circle time was set up and the expectations were discussed and agreed upon.
Our Virtue focus was Respect - looking at speaking, listening and acting with courtesy toward others.
We are looking forward to Week 2 where we are designing our class Treaty.
Kia Ora Room 21! 7&8 SWL from Otaki College have enjoyed reading your blog post and looking at your pictures. A lot of the students in our class love Cluedo and think we need to get the game for our classroom.
ReplyDeleteIt was very interesting to see your class does circle time because we do too. Has your class played fruit salad before? It is one of our favourite circle time games. We would love to see your finished class treaty.

Have you ever played 'Story time'? We use it to start off our Monday's where we'll pass a ball around the circle and add 3-4 words to create a story with a topic of our choice!
